Appeal Guidelines

Appeal Guidelines

Follow these guidelines to write an effective appeal.

Do's

  • Be honest - Provide accurate information about what happened
  • Be respectful - Treat moderators with respect even if you disagree
  • Be specific - Explain exactly what you're appealing and why
  • Provide context - Share relevant details that might help your case
  • Be patient - Allow time for your appeal to be reviewed

Don'ts

  • Don't lie - False information will hurt your appeal
  • Don't be aggressive - Hostility won't help your case
  • Don't spam - Multiple appeals won't speed up the process
  • Don't share personal attacks - Focus on the facts
  • Don't make demands - Ask politely for reconsideration

Writing Your Appeal

  1. State what action you're appealing
  2. Explain your perspective on what happened
  3. Provide any evidence or context
  4. Explain why you believe the decision should change
  5. Accept responsibility if appropriate

Good appeals focus on facts and show understanding of why action was taken, even if you disagree with it.
