I have implemented a mojang server status section on the main pages of the site. The status is updated every 5 minutes and displays four servers related to Java minecraft.
Green = Online
Red = Offline
If the session server is offline, you may not be able to play on multiplayer servers until it comes back.
If the login server is offline, you may not be able to log in to Minecraft at all. Which also means no playing on multiplayer.
If the website server is offline you won't be able to connect to https://minecraft.net
If the skins server is offline then your skin won't load in-game.
